FABRICIO DE MENDONCA

Founder & Head Coach

BJJ BLACK BELT - 3RD DEGREE

Professor Fabricio De Mendonca (FAB) was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Fabricio was twenty-one when he started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under 6th Degree BJJ Black Belt, Totila Jordan Neto “Pitoco” at Infight Jiu-Jitsu Academy. He also trained with Master Paulo Nardy – one of Pitoco’s top students and black belt. Fabricio moved to Australia in 2007 where he met the Brazilian Top Team - 4th Degree BJJ Black Belt – Master Gustavo “Bomba” Toledo. Fabricio was awarded his Black Belt in 2011 and since then he has been improving his techniques and teaching his style of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. As an instructor he has led his team to many victories in grappling tournaments in Australia. Fab is also a husband to a lovely wife (Thais) and father to a beautiful daughter (Alice). He has a degree in business, marketing and project management. 

STEWART NICOLL

Broz Martial Arts - Redcliffe - head coach Stewart Nicoll is avid medal collector. The passionate jiu jitsu practitioner earned his black belt from Professor Fabricio in 2017 and has competed all over Australia as well as Japan and America. As well as being an expert at Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Stewart is an active mixed martial artist with two professional wins and is the current XFC Flyweight champion.

Peter has more than 20 years of martial arts experience. Peter's martial arts journey has been an incredible and humbling experience that has taken him through a diverse range of disciplines. Each chapter in his journey has contributed uniquely to his growth as a martial artist and as an individual. Peter has trained Tae Kwon Do, Boxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Judo, Brazilian Jujitsu, MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). Throughout his martial arts journey, Peter faced numerous challenges and learned genuine life lessons. It wasn't just about self-defense; it was about personal growth, discipline and respect. Peter's word: "I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with the next generation of martial artists. I believe that martial arts instil not only mental fortitude but also important life skills such as discipline, respect and perseverance. My mission is to inspire and empower others on their martial arts journey, just as my past coaches have done for me over the past 20 years".
